School’
5 DVDs covering the first 5 years of life. Allows all professionals, students and parents to see these vital stages of early childhood development and understand their significance for achievement at school.
Starring a delightful cast of children, from babies to nearly five year olds, these DVDs follow a group of children and their parents. They identify the key stages in the development of each child’s brain and nervous system. Advice and guidance are given as the children mature and learn the skills necessary to help them to do well in school - physically, socially and academically.
Educators discussing the DVDs notice that the children are at a more advanced developmental stage than those they see starting school in the UK. Showing that the correct stimulation through play at the appropriate stage and time means they have an advantage. They have the ‘Foundation Skills’ in place and are very ready to start formal learning in school.
The DVDs are a must for anyone working with children of all ages. They illustrate clearly and without jargon how to stimulate development appropriately. This information is helpful with children and adults of all ages including those with learning difficulties and developmental delay.
